Photo and Name Usage Policy
Troop 2000 general policy is to protect the personal privacy of our members in every way possible without totally
defeating the purpose of the website to convey information to troop members.
Rather than get express
permission to display names and photos,
the troop is making every effort to inform members of their ability to exercise control over their personal information.
A parent, at any time,
can request the removal of names and photos from the troop website(email is the preferred method to both the
webmaster and scoutmaster). The request will usually be handled in a matter of hours.
.
The troop2k.org webhost, bluehost.com. is a recognized provider of webhosting services. They offer totally secure
storage of our information and photos and the URL is secure. Webhost access to our account is password protected and only the
webmaster has the ability to make changes to the site. The webhost provides the plugin software to maintain the photo gallery and calendar. These may
be password protected, but public access is allowed at this time.
